StarCraft: Remastered is a 2017 remastered edition of the 1998 real-time strategy video game StarCraft and its expansion Brood War. It retains the gameplay of the original games but adds remastered ultra-high-definition graphics, re-recorded audio, and Blizzard's modern online feature suite. The remaster was developed over a year and included playtesting from professional StarCraft players. It is planned for release in second quarter, 2017.

StarCraft: Remastered retains the gameplay of the original, but updates its graphics and sound.[1] Its remastered graphics support up to 4K ultra-high-definition resolution, and its original soundtrack and sound effects are re-recorded.[2] Its online features are updated to support Blizzard's modern suite, including improved multiplayer matchmaking, social integration with other Blizzard games, and saved settings on Blizzard's cloud computers such that player campaign progress, replays, custom maps, and keybindings are synced wherever the player opens the game.[1][2] Players can pair their online accounts from the original game with Blizzard's modern online accounts to continue their win/loss statistics into the remaster.[3] Additionally, players can switch between the original and new graphics[3] and view new zoomed perspectives for players to appreciate the remaster's new level of detail. It is translated into 13 languages.[2]

Camelot is a 2-player map using the Space Platform tileset. It was unveiled on April 3, 2017 as one of the new maps for the Afreeca Starleague Season 3. It is generally considered to be Terran favored; Iris conducted an in-depth analysis of the map, and suspects it was 'ASL's response to the dearth of Terrans in the tournament.' Summary: Taking right after the events of StarCraft; the Zerg Overmind is dead, and the Zerg swarms over the war-torn Protoss world of Aiur have run amok without their leader. Only groups of Protoss and Terran survivors remain on Aiur, mainly consisting of Captain James Raynor, Dark Templar Zeratul, Judicator Aldaris, and the newly-elected Praetor Artanis.
